We do not talk about Arte de Tapas, we need to appreciate that they are two different gastronomic offers, even though they are two adjacent locations (bar on Calzada street 25 and restaurant on Calzada street 27). On one hand we have the a la carte restaurant – where we do not serve tapas – and on the other hand the tapas bar where we do not take reservations and the menu is exclusively for tapas. Let Fran Martínez, our sommelier, suggest from his carefully selected best vermouths and wines from Málaga, the best possible company for your gastronomic journey through each of our dishes. And if you are a beer lover, Luis Martínez will offer you to choose from his carefully selected national and international beers. With the same premise, our culinary offer is completed with Arte de Tapas, another way to enjoy our cuisine with tapas that share with our dishes the idea of ​​recovering ancient flavors, those that were mistakenly set aside to show them to a whole new generation of diners.

Charo Carmona

The engine of Arte de Cozina, a repository of forgotten flavors. An avid reader and “listener” of origins and details of ancient dishes. Passion, effort, and study endorse her as a fundamental link in the transmission of flavors from our province to the future of gastronomy. She has been part of the Gastroarte group since its inception in 2010, a gastronomic collective formed by fifty Andalusian chefs with the aim of promoting the dissemination and promotion of gastronomy as a socio-economic stronghold of Andalusia.

Fifty kitchen professionals, in love with the products of Andalusia and its gastronomy, committed to their defense and dissemination, as part of the identity of our towns. Through the periodic events organized throughout our geography and even abroad, Gastroarte has set itself the mission of spreading and promoting the Mediterranean Diet as the basis of our culinary culture, with nuances of gastronomic localisms. A group aware that gastronomy is a crucial identity factor and, understood as a cuisine of local products and recipes, of sustainability.

Local products

The cornerstone of our kitchen and the key to our success lies in the best local and seasonal ingredients: goat cheeses, bee honey and Malaga suckling goat meats; the best sugar cane honey from Frigiliana, fruits from the Guadalhorce Valley and the most beautiful vegetables from the Antequera plain; all seasoned with the best extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) and a wide variety of wines from the Málaga Designation of Origin and Sierras de Málaga.
